About Melissa
I qualified as a Solicitor in 2024, having trained at a large Tier 1 firm in London. I decided to pursue a legal career after more than a decade working in communications, politics and non-profit management, and was drawn to family law for its combination of strategic thinking, purpose-led legal work and close client contact.
At FLC, I handle financial and children matters on divorce and separation, cohabitation issues, and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. I have particular experience of dealing with high and ultra-high net worth clients and on matters involving international or reputational elements. I am open-hearted, curious and creative in my approach to solving problems, and I take a long term, big picture perspective when working towards the best outcome for clients.
As well as my legal qualifications, I have a BA in English and Italian Literature from the University of Warwick and a MA in International Relations from the University of Birmingham. I have lived in Italy, Australia and the United States, and am a Canadian citizen. I still think London is the best city on earth. I am happiest when out in nature with my family and on my yoga mat.
